Started in 2008 as “Change for the Troops” by Past Right Worshipful Grand Master Stephen Gardner the program has changed names a couple of times and is currently called “Help for Our Heroes.” The cause though remains the same of helping those who defend our country and our freedom whether it be on US shores or in foreign countries so we can enjoy the freedoms we so often take for granted.
The program provides assistance to our military and their families by providing calling cards, military baby showers, adaptive bicycles for veterans with injuries, holiday events for military families on military bases, and improvements to veterans homes just to mention a few.
